Confined Space Entry Basics–OSSA Certified
The objective of this four-hour course is to give participants an introduction to the hazards associated with entering confined spaces. A further objective is to ensure that students demonstrate basic understanding of the methods of controlling these risks.
The topics covered in this course are:
- Regulations and responsibilities for confined space entry
- Confined space definition
- Confined space hazards, especially atmospheric hazards
- Classification of confined space entries
- Control of hazards
- Qualification and training of workers
- Emergency response plans
The HSE Integrated Confined Space Entry Course is approved by the Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA).

Participation: Minimum 8; maximum 20
Certification: HSE certificate
