Since joining HSE Integrated in 2006, Daphne has broadened her career horizons through training provided by the company. She started as an office temp in the Sylvan Lake station, and was promoted to the position of Human Resources Administrator. However she realized that an office job was not for her, and drawing on previous experience as a volunteer firefighter, she decided a hands-on position would be more to her liking.

Daphne was first trained as a Shop Hand, working on maintenance of various types of breathing air equipment. From there she moved into HSE’s Industrial Health Services Department, taking the courses and training needed to become an Industrial Health Services Technician working in Alberta, B.C., and Saskatchewan.

Daphne’s career with HSE still holds new challenges, which will include passing on her experience and training to others.

“I am currently working my way to getting my certificates to instruct our new hires (both casual and full-time) with all the courses that they will need to work safely in the field.”
